The ibh in-browser harness demo
To try out ibh via a chat assistant, paste an
OpenRouter API key into this page when prompted. It is stored
only in your browser's localStorage and
never leaves the browser β this playground has no backend at all.
Strongly recommended: create a brand-new OpenRouter key just for this demo, set it to expire in 1 hour, and give it a $1 limit. A key in a browser is effectively public, so treat it as disposable.
In production you never ask users to paste a key β or even to know OpenRouter exists. As the integrator you use your own OpenRouter key behind a drop-in proxy: ibh ships reference implementations for nginx, Apache, a Cloudflare Worker, a pure Node proxy and a pure Rust proxy β or roll your own custom proxy. The browser then talks to your endpoint, authenticated by your existing session, and the key stays on your server.
A chat assistant is the most obvious use of ibh β but ibh itself is a
headless, in-browser harness: it just executes a capability
manifest you author and the runtime enforces. That same runtime can power many
other things β batch/bulk operations, guided onboarding flows, computed answers
instead of raw data, accessibility and voice tooling, or your own UI driving it
programmatically (instance.send(), instance.audit()).
